Valtrex Precautions and Warnings

Who Should Not Take Valtrex?

You should not take Valtrex if you are allergic to Valtrex, valacyclovir hydrochloride, or any inactive component used to make Valtrex. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Valtrex is also closely related to acyclovir (Zovirax®), so you should not take Valtrex if you are allergic to acyclovir.
