Overdose InformationApplying too much Xerese may cause skin redness and discomfort but is unlikely to cause dangerous overdose symptoms. Taking this medication by mouth, however, could cause overdose symptoms.

If you forget to apply Xerese at the scheduled time, apply it as soon as you remember. If it is almost time for your next application, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule.
Xerese should be stored at room temperature. Do not allow the cream to freeze. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.
This medication comes in one form and strength -- Xerese 0.5%/0.1% cream, which contains 5% acyclovir and 1% hydrocortisone. It is available in 2-gram and 5-gram tubes.
